Skills For Living (S4L) grows significantly each year, offering exciting opportunities to volunteers. Everyone’s contribution is highly valued and appreciated. S4L depend on volunteers to plan and run adult and youth programs.

20-20 Power Workshops

We need instructors and family mentors.  Mentors help adults “own “the material. To understand this process they attend a day of training and are expected to read one book about the working poor. A document describing the mentor and instructor responsibilites my be found here.

Game of Real Life

The Game of Real Life is a 15 unit summer school program for the incoming 10th grade class YES Prep students. It is an exciting college, career and financial planning curriculum followed by an 8 hour reality Game of Real Life conducted at Junior Achievement’s Exchange City.

Volunteers serve as instructors, team leaders, career mentors and market the program to Houston’s business community.

Office Angels

Office Angels are always needed to help with database maintenance, grant writing, evaluation of programs and other administrative responsibilities.
